“I said yes. Not just to surviving, but to a much bigger life. The life I had been shrinking away from for years. To my calling. To my dreams.”
Women Gone Wild: Leadership is on shelves. It is the book I am honored to be part of, and right now we are on a mission to hit bestseller.
This is not just about a book reaching a list. It is about what it means when a story that was almost never told, a story of darkness and survival and a life-changing choice made in a single broken moment, becomes something that reaches people who need to hear it.
My chapter is inside this collection. It is the story I have been building toward my entire life. It is the reason I do the work I do.
I want to tell you what is in it. Because if any part of it lands for you, I believe you will want to read it.
The Life That Looked Right From the Outside
For years, I lived a life that looked like success.
The corporate ladder. The long hours. The milestones everyone said mattered. From the outside, I looked unstoppable.
Inside was a different story.
Underneath the achievement was an emptiness I never let anyone see. A darkness so heavy that on some days, I found myself praying for an escape from a life I had worked so hard to build.
So many of us have felt this. The paradox of achieving everything we thought would make us happy, only to find that something deeper is still missing. That the life on paper does not match the life being lived inside.
I lived in that gap for years.
My TEDx talk on how inherited emotional DNA shapes your life explores this science in depth and is worth watching alongside this.
The Day Before My Birthday
It happened the day before my birthday.
I was racing across sand dunes on an ATV when the 820-pound machine reared up and came crashing down on top of me. My body shattered beneath it.
In that instant, I slipped beyond the pain.
Then I heard a voice asking me one question:
“Are you staying, or are you going?”
“What I chose in that moment, and the promise I made to myself when I came back, is the heart of my chapter.”
I chose to stay.
Not just to survive. To finally say yes to a much bigger life. The one I had been shrinking away from for years. To my calling. To my dreams.
That yes became my life’s work.
Today I am a globally recognized epigenetics expert and the founder of Epigenetics for Global Impact, where I help people uncover and break the inherited patterns running their lives and businesses, so they can live with more joy, vitality, success and ease.
Everything I do now, the science, the clearings, the mentoring, the programs, all of it flows from the promise I made to myself in that moment on the sand dunes.
If you want to understand the cellular science behind why brilliant people keep hitting invisible ceilings, the piece on why your success ceiling has nothing to do with strategy goes deep into the biology.
Why This Book. Why This Moment.
Women Gone Wild: Leadership is the third installment in the globally recognized Women Gone Wild series, co-created by Rhonda Swan and Jules Schroeder of WILD Global Inc.. The series has already achieved Barnes and Noble bestseller status across its previous editions. Forbes named it one of the top books for women’s empowerment in 2026.
The Leadership edition features a foreword by Marie Diamond, the Feng Shui master and star of The Secret, and brings together visionary founders, entrepreneurs and leaders from across the globe.
My chapter sits inside that collection. But the story I share is not about success in the conventional sense.
It is about what happens when the version of success you have been building is not actually yours.
It is about the body that kept the score when I would not. It is about the moment I was given a choice, and what I chose. It is about the cellular-level work of clearing the inherited instructions that had been quietly running my life.
Through my TEDx talk on inherited emotional DNA, my private mentoring and the work inside The Abundance Code, I help leaders and entrepreneurs do exactly this: release what was never theirs to carry, and finally step into the life and impact they were born for.
Be Part of the Mission
This book reaching bestseller status is not just a publishing milestone. It is a signal to every person who has ever sat with that quiet gap between the life on paper and the life being lived inside, that their story matters. That the darker chapters are worth speaking out loud.

The question I was asked on those sand dunes was not only mine.
In some form, it is the question every leader eventually faces.
“Are you staying, or are you going?”
Not just in this life. In this version of it. The one where you are finally living on your own terms.
With so much love,
Lisa

What is your chapter about in Women Gone Wild: Leadership?
My chapter tells the story of the ATV accident that brought me face to face with a single defining question: are you staying, or are you going? It explores the gap between outward success and inner truth, the darkness I carried beneath a high-achieving life, and the promise I made to myself when I chose to stay. It is the origin story behind the epigenetics work I now do globally, helping leaders release inherited patterns and finally live the life they were born for.
What is epigenetics and why does it matter for leadership?
Epigenetics is the study of how lived experience alters gene expression without changing the underlying DNA sequence. Research has shown that inherited emotional experiences, including trauma, scarcity and fear, can alter how genes express across generations. For leaders, this means the patterns keeping them from visibility, financial expansion or authentic decision-making may not be their own. They may be inherited instructions from generations before. Releasing these patterns at the cellular level is the foundation of my work. My TEDx talk on inherited emotional DNA explores this science in depth.
